Blood Testing

Karrinyup Small Animal Hospital has the latest blood machines so that you can get results for your pets quickly while keeping the price on blood testing lower than through external laboratories.

Our blood machines consist of:

Haematology - This gives us the breakdown of the different types of blood cells such as white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets.

Biochemistry - This is a panel which gives us a useful indicator for conditions such as liver failure, heart conditions, kidney disease, diabetes and more.

Coagulation - This machine tests PT and PTT clotting times which basically tells us how fast the blood is able to clot.  This means we can get a result quickly (within 15 minutes) and therefore we can treat your sick pet immediately.
