We believe that a sound start to your career is key to longevity and career satisfaction in this industry. Here is a great opportunity for you to participate in this partnership of learning and growing, in a supportive and fun environment.
Family-owned and independent, Karrinyup Small Animal Hospital has a reputation for practising contextualised care while delivering it in a kind and compassionate manner. Our current team of 5 Veterinarians, 6 Cert IV Qualified Nurses and 2 Customer Relations Officers support each other to deliver the best quality service while ensuring that everyone gets a proper lunch break and adequate time to recharge. We value continuing education and encourage staff to pursue their special interests.
Our Team is excited to offer this two-year mentoring program to a new or recent graduate who would like to:
Working a 4 day week, there is a rotating 1:2 Saturday shift which is from 8:30am to 4pm but no after hours, on-call, Sunday or Public Holiday work. Remuneration is above award, with a structured plan for increase based on successful completion of the various stages of the program. There is paid membership with CAVE and VIN, and a generous allocation of paid CE annually.
Testimonials from Past Graduate Team Members:
"The team is extremely supportive of one another and there is always a colleague who is happy to offer assistance, discuss a case and bounce ideas off. The practice owner is a wonderful boss; she is very approachable and encourages continuing professional development. The clinic is very busy and staff have quite varied interests including Behaviour, Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics. I've really grown as a Veterinarian at this practice and the team I worked with has become like family! It's been the ideal new graduate position."

“The New Graduate Program with KSAH has been an amazing introduction into the small animal vet world. The whole team is very kind, and I am always able to find help if I need it. I feel very supported in offering gold standard care, as it is part of our clinic's ethos, so I am able to do the most for my patients. I would highly recommend the KSAH New Graduate Program for any new vet looking for a supportive environment, with a friendly team, to grow at your own pace.”
